Refraction
Refraction is the diagnostic test that determines refractive errors in humans (myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, presbyopia). Refraction is a combination of objective measurement by the automatic refractometer, supplemented by the ophthalmologist’s subjective assessment, using graduated lenses to achieve the best possible reading on the eye chart with letters, numbers, or symbols. Our clinic has special pictures and symbols that make the exam fun and friendly for our youngest patients.
