Schirmer test

At our clinic, we perform the Schirmer test, which assesses whether tear production is sufficient to keep the eye moist. The test is performed by placing a 35 mm × 5 mm strip of special filter paper, which is used to measure the amount of tears produced over a 5-minute period.
